Urea 46 Prilled Fertilizer Supplier
Urea 46 Prilled Fertilizer Overview
Urea 46 prilled fertilizer is a highly concentrated solid nitrogen fertilizer designated 46-0-0 produced through the prilling process, one of the oldest and most energy-efficient methods of manufacturing solid urea.
In prilling, liquid urea melt at approximately 99.7% concentration is pumped to the top of a tall prilling tower (typically 60–100 metres in height) and sprayed through rotating nozzles into a stream of rising cooled air.
The falling melt droplets solidify during descent into smooth, uniform spherical pellets known as prills by the time they reach the collection floor. The prills are then cooled, dried, and conditioned with a small amount of anti-caking agent before packaging.
The result is a white, free-flowing, highly pure urea product with nitrogen content of ≥46%, prill diameter of 1.0–2.4mm, and exceptional water solubility making prilled urea the preferred nitrogen fertilizer form for fertigation, direct soil application, foliar programmes, and industrial urea processing applications where a fine, pure, rapidly dissolving nitrogen source is required.

Urea 46 Prilled Fertilizer Suppliers FAQ
Urea 46 prilled fertilizer is a concentrated 46% nitrogen solid fertilizer produced by spraying liquid urea melt from the top of a prilling tower, allowing droplets to solidify into smooth spherical pellets of 1.0–2.4mm diameter during descent through cooled air. Granular urea is produced by agglomeration in a rotating drum, yielding larger, denser pellets of 2.0–4.5mm. Prills are purer, more finely sized, and dissolve faster — making them preferred for fertigation, foliar application, and industrial processing. Granules offer superior moisture resistance for bulk blending.
Our prilled urea carries nitrogen content ≥46.0%, biuret ≤1.0% (low-biuret ≤0.25% available on request), and moisture ≤0.5%. Prill size is 1.0–2.4mm with ≥90% within that range, SGN 180–210, and bulk density 720–770 kg/m³. The product is chloride-free. All parameters are confirmed by independent Certificate of Analysis per shipment lot.
Standard packaging is 25 kg or 50 kg woven polypropylene bags with inner polyethylene moisture barrier liners. One-tonne FIBC big-bags (500–1000 kg) are available for bulk buyers with appropriate handling infrastructure. A 20-foot ISO container holds approximately 25–27 MT of bagged prilled urea; a 40-foot container holds 50–60 MT. Fumigation certificates are provided where required by the destination country.
Yes. Ikutha Forge Company Limited exports urea 46 prilled fertilizer to buyers across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America under FOB, CIF, and CFR shipping terms. Prilled urea is not classified as a dangerous good under IMDG, IATA, or ADR. Every shipment includes the Certificate of Analysis, certificate of origin, phytosanitary or fumigation certificate where applicable, packing list, commercial invoice, and bill of lading.
